Patriotic Covers

A Patriotic Cover is any cover (i.e. mailed envelope) with some sort of patriotic design or sentiment added. The first in the U.S. appeared during the War Between The States, and were widely used in both the North and the South. They showed up again during the Spanish-American War, in 1898. They seem not to have been popular during WWI, but flourished again during WWII. They are a popular collecting area.

In the meantime, wherever you got here from, plus this and this are all I have to say about the topic.
