First Showing - AIGA SF - May 14, 1997

Alyson Kuhn is on the board of the SF chapter of the AIGA, and was the prime motivator and organizer of our first outing, as she has been for every presentation since. For that initial event, Alyson recruited local SF Bay Area artists and illustrators to create the images that accompany the letters of the alphabet. The invitation (below), featured a block of four of the event's own stamp. (Invitation and stamp designed by Michael Osborne at Michael Osborne Design)

At the event everyone received a name tag with appropriate philatelic adornment.

Knowing I would enjoy having such production varieties as souvenirs, Alsyon presented me with progressive proofs, and this press sheet of the stamps.

Gigi Trabant was the only one of us with the foresight and talent required to prepare this delightful souvenir cover for the event. You can see more of her work here and here.
